Shauny Boy good job this year!

It does not appear that the HBC will be on the FLW Series Fish Off practice. The HBC should be a good warm-up practice fer you before you head to Amistad. You will have to double back on traveling tho

I thought it was just a rumor. What's next...a spooning tournament at Cachuma????

I guess it must be true though. The guy to talk to would be Kelly Ripa...he taught all the big fish guys everything they know, except how to drive their boats. They all know how to catch 'em now...but they'll take forever to get to their spots cuz they don't know how to trim up on PLAIN.

The field is set enjoy the contest.
Big bass fisherman are a secret society of dedicated fisherman whom will not be fully represented by any tournament. Tournament fisherman by their very nature must self promote themselves to attract sponsorship and make a living on the busy weekends on public lakes. whereas the giant bass fisherman tends to be very low key. We have an old saying " the surfaced whale gets harpooned".
There are a few tournament fisherman that todays hot sticks may not remember as giant bass fisheram; Bobby Sanberg, Mike Folkstad and the late Bill Murphy come to mind. People think of Don Iovino as the father of finesse fishing and he has caught at least one giant 18+ lbs and more big bass over 10 pounds the at least 50% of the field being considered for this event.
Whinning, not really just expressing the facts. Few if any on this list have caught more bass over 15 lbs then I have, 5 between 17 and 19 lbs on artifiacl lures.
What have I done for the sport of bass fishing the past 15 years? Nothing. I keep a very low profile and wish to keep it that way.
Good luck to those big bass fisherman selected and I hope you all do well.

Tom,

Many people on this site could learn from the way you write things.

Hey you forgot to mention that you belong in the top 25, like others here did. You show a lot of class and you did check your ego at the door.

Well said, thank you for the wisdom.

Hey Little Airforce when you actually land a 10 let me know because the way you act when you catch 3 lbers is outrageous, Catching a 10 lber for you will be like losing your virginity all over again (if you even know what that feels like). HAHAHAHA!!!

Based on this....

http://huddlestondeluxe.com/generic71.h ... WPERWRJPX0

....seems to me the vision of this thing was to attract proven consistent trophy bass fishermen and not just anybody who wants a shot at catching a big fish. As such, seems to me there should be some sort of criteria for who gets into the tournament, and not just 25 but all 50. Im not saying I know what the answers are, but to allow just anybody to fill the final 25 spots seems to take away from the vision of this tournament.

Does anybody know where an official list is showing the anglers who have been given priority for entry?

I saw this thread on the A.C.Plug site this morning and it looks like Allan is not a happy camper... :D

If I entered that tournament, I probably would win it. I specalize in big fish. They left my name off their list.. I started the whole damn swimbait thing... I've caught more big fish, 10 lb. browns and 40 lb stripers than all of them they named put together, or anyone! As far as bass, I've caught more over 10 than probably half of them, fishing only part time. If I was serious about big bass, I would maybe catch the record. I once had a 25 lb. bass on, 10 feet from my boat at Castaic... I probably should enter it.

The 6 inch Casitas should be here any time now.

The tournament is set and the rules are well defined. You must cast and retrieve your lures, no trolling is allowed.

Wuss must be california slang for someone who plays the skin flute!!! As long as he has taken to make my rod, I should charge HIM for it! On second thought...I'll pay ya, Alick can use the money to buy a sense of humor. So you're actually making that rod for Dave!?!?! How will you attach the eyes to that flag pole??

You're game is soooo weak man. You just need to spend some time in the store just shuttin the hell up for once and listening to how real men talk smack, you might learn something. Oh that's right...it's the Ojai inbreeding..that explains it all!! You shouldn't even be fishin it anyway..and what do you mean "my boat"??? Did you break open your piggy bank and help Daddy make part of this month's payment so you can take the boat out for a day?

And enough with the Lake Casitas Locals crap already. Just because you were born here doesn't mean you belong.

Rob it is okay, we need to talk, face to face, you are starting to hurt my feelings.... I am just being honest. Oh, and while we are at it I can give you those casting lessons we all know you so desparately need! HAHAHA! I kind of figured since you took this whole week off from work you might actually spend it at the lake trying to catch a 10lber instead of slinging crap on here and trying to get a girlfriend from match.com? Do they give background checks on the girls at match.com? I would try to avoid another Kristen incident......
