Joe Torre was on Letterman last night and he said there is no truth behind the rumor of coming to LA.

Grady Little makes less than 1 million per year and Joe Torre just turned down 6 million per year from the yanks.

Do you really think Frank Mcort will spend in excess of 6 million for a coach and 8 million for A-Rod? That is 15 million per year for one player and a coach.

Gadzooks! I say no way.

I will be pleasently suprised to see it happen. Forget about Torre, lets get Alex Rodriguez in Dodger Blue!

No disrespect intended Big Ed, but A-Rod will NOT be making 8 million... he will be making 35+ million - A YEAR.

The offer to Torre is reported to be (around) 7.5 million for three years, which I expect he will accept. I'm betting that he brings Don Mattingly along with him as his bench coach and that Mattingly will replace Torre at the end of the three-year contract, when Torre retires. Just my thoughts on the deal.

Its good to be an Angel fan....there is no better fit for A-Rod than Anaheim. The press here is weak , and A-rod can mash in virtual anonymity... What better way for Artie to stick it to the dodgers than for A-rod to stand at third at the big A. I dont think McCourt can afford both player AND his coach...
