What is your biggest 5 fish limit this year?

Post by EP »

What was your biggest limit of the year so far and on what kind of bait? Swimbait, buzz bait, worm, senko, jig etc.

Just curious!

I have never kept/weighed a 5 fish limit.... hope to do so this Saturday. Image

My best was prolly 2-3 weeks ago with a'bout a #7 and a #6 pounder within 20 minuets. ..So that would be 13 pounds........ Prolly a pound over my best 5 pound bag. Image

June 07 29 lbs 6 oz, it was a fun trip not a tourney at Clear Lake, On thursday I had 22 lbs with a 8.2 lb kicker and on Friday I had my PB 5 fish 29 lbs 6 oz with a 9.9 kicker, you can see the photo of the 8.2 and 9.9 on the photo page under June 07. Got the 8.2 on a Yamamoto Rootbeer Hula grub and the 9.9 on a extra wide black/blue sweet beaver.

God is good, get your kids away from that TV and take them fishing!

19 for three, 25 for 5, all on the FROG

Post by Otay Michael »

19 for three, 25 for 5!

I Lost my second nice one, (over 10? a real hog I never got moving in my direction) or it would have been at least 32, and she took my Spro with her on 65# Power Pro, but it was still my PB string. After that I used a Bobbies Perfect frog. This was at Otay Lake just two months ago in the tulles. E P I C. TUL.

Here is a couple of pics.

Not bad for only fishing frogs for a couple of years now I would say, and only fishing for four.

Oh, that hill is now black as heck. I forgot until I looked at it. I had to evacuate too, but from another fire in San Diego further north that started in Ramona, and I'm in Del Mar. Hard to believe it's only been a little over a week. What a nightmare that I hope none of you have ever have to go through.
Otay Michael

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

I dunno' if I ever caught 5 bass in one trip this year ! :-) And if I did, they were not "five over 8 or 9 lbs", or should I say, fish that I would have thought to weigh for a five fish total.

I did get 4 Smallies one day for 24.0 lbs. I was pretty happy with that :-)

And my biggest five for the year went 66.8 lbs. That was better than a sharp stick in the eye too :-)

Peace,
Fish

PS, I keep thinking that if I fish enough more years, that one of these days, I'll get five good ones in a single trip..... even though that's not really what I'm fishing for..... Hmmmmm.

Hey Chris, I would rather get one 15+ then the big limit. It's fun but I am really looking for a bigger one. I know of a bunch of people who have got a 15+ but have never got a big limit. I get the big limit but never got the 15+ LMAO!! Maybe this next year. Well I did get a chance this year at a 15+ but got my butt kicked
