Well partner, I'm cheatin on ya and voted for an underwater swimbait...and it will be thrown by "you know who". Man I wish I could let the cat outta the bag on my ringer!!!!

Trouser Snout...what is "your style"??? You can't walk down the bank from the road at night and fish a "plastic worm". This tourney don't work that way homey. But...to your credit...you have caught a few good ones..so if you get in maybe...just maybe...haha. Seriously though, if you need to get out and you have a flat tire on our bicycle, I'll get ya out there.

ALick aka BOB HAIRDO...(I seen the picture)...IF you make it in...good on you...you have unshakable confidence in drob-shotting a 1" worm on 2lb test knowing you will stick a 2lb bass in 8 hours of fishing...THat's impressive...I can't do that...If you do get in...My money is on you...for atleast weighting a fish under 5lbs....HOLLLA...............

Just having fun........Don't forget your ferry wand this weekend....

Alright....You "OAKIES" have just pushed the envelope a little too far.... I know you two are probably at the Hilltop trying desparately to pick up on fat chicks right now (Dave I have heard the stories).... butt when you come stumbling home, holding each other's hands.... realize that I am no "one trick, swimbait throwing, dog".... I have an array of time tested techniques to ensure that I will come out with no less than two (or more) bass that are over 12" which is more than I can say for you two Air Farce Ladies....

That is impressive to have the confidence knowing you will go home with a fish over 12" at the end of the day...if takes a real man to troll all day for trout and end up with a 12" bass and be proud as you are....

If we both get in...I don't know if I can handle the pressure you are putting on me...The smallest bait in my boat is 8"....and you are out there with a rooster tail smiling....now that's impressive....

Good luck "Hairdo"...you need to hide that picture....if Rob gets his hands on it ...its over...

I remember when I was 17...it was a blast but I had no clue... :D

With 50 dudes going big, someone is bound to get up on something, I think someone will get a 13.8

I think the big girls will shut down, with 50 boats fishing for them, plus John Q. Public there, too. Those fish are spooky. Paul is probably right. Under 10 will win it, although it would be really awesome if someone stuck a 'teener.

Well the last three januarys (2005 - 10.5lbs ,2006 -13.0lbs ,2007 -11.0lbs) I have had at least one fish over ten each time as well as my personal best was also in Jan. I am sure the winning fish will be over 10, probably around 12 lbs.

That's nice... how many were in tournaments or tournament conditions?

I've been trying not to jynx it (not that I'm superstitious or anything :D ), but typical of many of our Southland tournaments guys whack 'em while pre-fishing, and they just shut down or sink out on game day. I presume that's why Ron selected Friday for the tournament, but factor in 50 participant boats, plus the resultant circus, and there's going to be a LOT of traffic on the water to put them on their guard.

I really do hope someone lands a PIG, though!

Don't mind him Roger, he doesn't know any better. He's not even allowed out after the street lites are on.

Although, I did pick up my new swimbait rod today that he made for me and he did a phenomenal job on it. Thanks Alick!!!!

I wasn't saying that I will be catching fish like that this january or that I am an amazing tournement fisherman but the point I was trying to make is that I feel that the winning fish will definately be over 10lbs because of the time of year(prespawn) and the forage,(stocked trout). January, febuary and march are the months we usually see the biggest fish of the year at Casitas.
