San Vincente HELP!!!

Post by Phil Hart »

Hello, I will be heading down to San Vincente from Sacramento on the 10th, and fishing the Firefighters Summer Olympics Bass Tourney on the 11th and 12th of July. We will have no time for my partner and myself to prefish. We will be seeing the lake for the first time on the morning of the 11th ( yep..first day of the tourney) and we need a little help. What is the lake like? I:E temps..trees...no trees.. frog bite.. color worms.. jigs... etc.. I know this is alot to ask, however I would like to do well...after the drive and all. Also.. can you recommend a tackle shop close to the lake that we can stop by and talk to someone on Sunday. Thanks in advance for the help.. Phil Hart ( Sacramento Metro Fire Dept.) :D

but theres a good chance you'll see some late spawners. Throw some topwater in the morning as well as some cranks or jerkbaits. Then maybe mix in some brown on brown Pig and jigs. Also you might want to throw the wood swimbaits like the ms slammer.
Aim Marine is 5 minutes from the lake. Go there and tell them I sent you in. Kellen and the boys will hook you up. Good luck!!! Pete Marino :)

Water temp = 77 - 82. 10 visibility. no significant weed growth yet. No topwater. Fish are eating craws and baby bluegills. Try DS new ayu on secondary points - 15-20'.

Phil,

Shoot me an email. I will be at the Triton dealer meeting at that time in Nashville, so I won't be in the shop to help you out...but stop on in and talk to the guys in the tackle shop. Jason or Larry will clue you in for sure. We have a custom Roboworm color called San Vee Slayer, nuff said...
