HOW DO YOU STOP THE LMS 480 FROM STOP LOCKING UP?

You need the updated software from Lowrance

I had the same problem with my 480 since the day i bought it. Fixed mine a few weeks ago and have not had a lockup since. What you need to do is go to the Lowrance web site and download the new software, put it on a MMC card and update your software in the Lowrance unit. I have a MMC card with the new software on it. I'm in Tracy. Email me off list if you would like to use my card.
