First tournament of the new season for Region 7

Post by Ray L. »

The first tournament of the new 07/08 season is on Dec. 16th. at Lake Castaic. Get your entries sent to me by Monday Dec. 10th. for the tournament.
We are about to start a whole new season and I am really looking forward to the first tournament of the year being held at Castaic. Last season the opener had 44 anglers fish. At the end of the day it took over 16 pounds to win and took over 10 pounds just to get in the money.
If you have ever thought about fishing a Federation event but did not know what to do just feel free to e mail me or call. My info is on the website at www.californiabass.org go to tournaments and look up region 7. All my contact info is there for you.
Last season we qualified 20 anglers to fish at the State Championship. The top 3 anglers came from Region 7 . A total of 4 anglers qualified for the state team from Region 7. They are all well on there way to having a chance to qualify for 1 of many tournaments. Someone could qualify for the Bassfan weekend warrior championship, or maybe even the B.F.L. All American. 1 person could also live the dream and qualify for the F.L.W. Tour Championship and even make the F.L.W. Tour and live the total package Dream.
Like I said if you have ever thought about it but are not sure how Please get in contact with me and I can answer all your questions about the Federation.
Castaic Lake on Dec. 16th. 2007 is where your dream could begin.
Good Luck,
Ray L.

You would see a lot better participation in every region throughout the State if you were to announce the location of the 2008 State Classic BEFORE the start of the season. Not doing so is a very poor business move and will end up costing each region several anglers. But, hey, what the hell do I know about running tournaments?

Ray,

Do I need to sign up with a Boater? If not, check will go out on Monday.

Lance said in addition to the Mcdonald’s you were going to take coffee orders for Starbucks. Man, what an awesome TD. :D

Those hoops would be signing up for FLW, Sending in the application, and the ghost club. I don't mind jumping thru a few hoops to fish though... Since we're doing everything ahead of time here. I'll take 2 egg and sausage Mcmuffins and a venti coffee of the day. :o

By the way Lance has offered to show everyone how to drive a Ranger. He has also offered to bring Greek food to the weigh in.
Enough for everyone. He said Peter T. gave him a great recipe for stuffed grape leaves.

Actually I have no idea how to set up a boat. It's exactly the same as when I bought it. When I say it chines at 75, I just mean that it's a lottle bit loose and scarey, it "walks" around a bit. If I keep it in a very slight turn, it's ok. But I'm wide open to suggestions. I don't even admit to knowing how to set up a motor just right. I only know how to start it, and to burn massive amounts of EFI fuel baby!!
