Removing the old tags?

I know this subject came up before, but could someone lighten me on the best way of removing the old boat tags.

you can spray on some WD-40 and peel them off or use a Blow Dryer to heat them up Alittle and peel them off

Will the WD-40 damage the gel coat?

The Blow dryer method is faultless and easy!!!!!!

Hair drier and WD40 or Goo-Gone for the stickum. Or put the new tag over the old spot... WD40 doesn't mar the gelcoat as far as I can tell, but don't quote me!

Peel them off and put the new one's in the same spot.
Simple and easy.
No reason to make a big project out of it.
