I know this was posted awhile back so bare with me.I have set up a group called COLUMBIA RIVER SMALLMOUTH on the FLW site.I would love to see a bunch of you guys join if you would like.I remember fishing the Tri-cities NG this past season and looking over to see either Murray or Renyolds or a # of other guys and thinking to myself"Hey Dude,what happen last week,I took you in my fantasy leauge last week and you were terible".lol

To me that is one of the coolest things about this fantasy game I can make my picks and towords the end of the year you never know if I will be on the back of his boat for the last couple NG tourneys.

Well back to the game.

One last thing.The earlier you sign up the more the bonus prize pays out(up to $5,000,000.00)if you get in now.And if you do join could you please put CRS infront of your team name?That way when you get on the LB the group will be represented on the big board.

Thats GREAT Gator,We have gone from 8 to 18 members in the group over night.Hope we have some money winners in this group.The more I read about this thing the more UNREAL it seems.Like hitting the lottery.If for some reason 7 of your guys finish in order out of the 10 it would be $166,000.00+ a year for 30 years.Sure hope I live that long.lol

Just as a question.....What if there was a league that had it set up where if one person won big they would share with the others in the league, also everyone in the league had different angler picks to increase the chances of winning....To me this would only improve your overall chances of winning. Would this be legal in the Fantasy fishing world?

I am already signed up...just not in a league/team yet.....

Bassin,
You can try all you want, but the odds are even worse for this than any lotto you would ever play. This stuff is a lot of fun, but realistically, the odds to pick 10 straight winners from a field of 200 is astronomical (which is essentially a perfect score).

Consider this:
- with 200 contestants, to pick the top 10 guys in a row, which would give you the best achievable perfect score, there are 81,470,204,436,547,390,464,000 possible combinations. That's 81 sextillion - i looked it up

!

With your idea, you'd have to get a lot, lot, lot of friends(over 81 sextillion to be exact) to cover all the possible bets. then, once you won, each event, how much would 1.7M total split with 81 sextillion of your friends add up to?

This is exactly what lottos count on too, the odds have to be way higher than feasibly possible to do so that nobody can cheat the system.
a) you cant find that many friends to cover all the bets.
b) even if you dif find that many friends you could'nt log in and cast that many votes; it would take years.
c) finally, even if you did a) and b) above, you wouldn't get anything because the winnings don't even equal a penny for each of you!

Now FLW is not doing a lottery. They are going on points, so there is going to be a winner for each event and an eventual winner, so you gotta play. You have a better shot at doing well with some general wisdom, a little luck, and outright craziness.

So, play along, have fun, good luck, and enjoy knowing that nobody is going to really get an edge up on you and increase significantly their odds of beating you even with 100 friends helping out.

The difference between this and the lottery is someone will win the $100,000 at every tournament. GUARANTEED. While most likely no one will win the $5 million bonus for the pick 7 exacta thing, someone will win the $100,000 and someone will win $1,000,000 at the end.

That's guaranteed.

So I wouldn't knock the odds too much. If only 50,000 people sign up, you just have to beat 49,999 people with your picks at one event to get $100,000. That's pretty freakin cool.
