To All:
With all the new various new lure classes (swimbaits, chatterbaits, finesse) I was curious as to what you all thought would be the next revolution in lure design? Also what are your thoughts on using new attractants such as the BIOSONIX units?

Thanks for the oppurtunity to ask some you all some questions....

For the panel, when you are in the middle of a multi-day tourney and things are not going as planned, how do you adjust? and what is your process or what are you looking for to make quick adjustments?

I would be interested in what they really feel about the Biosonix units. Worth the money or not. Bill K :)

To all:

What is the best advice that you would give someone who is just starting out as a Pro?

How long did it (or should it) take to build this passion into a career? When did you (or should you) know it was worth taking the financial risk?

What is the single technique that a tournament angler should master?

To all: If you could have only one swimbait in your boat that you could use on every waterway what would it be?

To all: Besides maybe a swimbait, what would be your go to bait for big fish, and why?

To all: If your having a hard time filling your limit, what do you normally do? Change gears or Stick it out?

To all: What is your go to limit filling bait?

To the panel:

Knowing that "Time on the water" is the ultimate way to prepare for an event, when you do not have that time readily available, what methods of "Off the water" preparation do you enlist (ie..old fishing reports, maps of the body of water to be fished, Fish and Game resources and such) and what works best for you?

Thanks for your responses.

To the Panel:

1. I am an Amateur who is fairly new to the Team Tourney experience and Bass fishing as a money sport. I have fished with some great Pro's but I always find myself asking:
What can I do to help get that winning limit in the boat?
(Holding the net is not an answer...lol.)

2. As an Amateur I always find myslelf wondering what to bring in the tackle bag to an event. I know we do not have the "time" on the water the Pro's do and the capability to carry what the Pro's cary on deck so:
What type of baits would you suggest Amateur's carry in the tackle bag (not specifically for one body of water but an all around good bag)?

Thanks for your consideration.

Do you guys use braid for topwater and wake baits in clear water??

Do you think it cost you bites if you do??

To ALL : What career choices did you make that you wish you didn't and what actions were taken to correct your choice? What would you advise to others to do before they decide to make career choices.

examples (sponsorships, boat or vehicle purchases, boat sponsor, tournament circuit to fish or not to fish. financial decisions )

Poker pros say the most common mistake that amateurs make is that they play too many hands.

As Fishing Pros what would you say is the most common mistake amateur bass tournament fishermen make?

Ok guys just ran thru the questions with Gary D and we both agree that they are very good questions and considering that Gator is the delete button nazi and not real bright  I think that the only fair thing to do is for those of you that either got back on and reposted or jumped in with a great bunch of questions all of you are going to get passes to the San Mateo show. The last one to get the pass is Wolfeman posted on January 9th at 6:04 pm. don't any of you try to post after this and get free tickets.

We will use as many of these questions as time will allow on Sunday at 12:30 during the roundtable. We will have another contest for Sacramento next week.

See you all at the show.

Roundtable anglers will be Gary Dobyns, Zack Thompson, Randy McAbee, Bub Tosh and Mike Reynolds

Passes will be at the will call window under your westernbass.com forum handle tomorrow at show opening.

Hope not too Brian and if that starts happening then the free ticket deals will go away. We enjoy giving some tickets away and hopefully nobody will that. Would have to say that would probably get you a long ban on Westernbass from Tony if he found out.....probably not worth it I am sure!!!!

See you guys at the show

Dear Panel:

What do you do when you're in the middle of a tournament and you're riding down the lake and the box of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts flies out of the boat? Is this considered an emergency allowing you to beach the boat and get a new supply or are you supposed to call the TD for emergency backup?

:-) sorry, had to do it........

Not sure if this is an emergency or not however I do know that if you are a second rate outdoor writer and covering a bass tournament and Gary D knows you were the one that posted this question you might expect a head lock......I would stay off of docks at weigh-ins if I were you Terry.

Thanks for question no you don't get a free show pass! If Robbins needs a pass have him call us!!!!

later buddy and thanks for the laugh
