Im looking for a low cost Tournament circuit

Post by BShafer »

Heres the deal my 11yo wants to fish some tournaments with me after fishing a club event where I took her along because I had a open seat. Would be interested in a team foremat club any multiple trukey shoots and opens. I'd like to keep the the entry fee to 80.00 dollars or less because I'm footing the bill on everything I'm out of Modesto and willing to travel 2 hours. So lets hear it any low cost event scheduled yet starting in the month of April.

Thanks

Check out the Hook series at http://www.hookproshop.com/tournaments/ There are two events left you can fish, Jan 20 and Feb 10 out of Russo's. Entry fee is $50 per team with a $5.00 Big Fish and $10.00 Option, so you can fish the event for $65.00.

I would try tracy bass I think it is $80.00 without options. 100% payback you really get your money worth. There is no one making BIG dollars on you fishing... Fair fun and simple!!

Straitline hit it right on the head. Tracy Bass is a very good circuit to fish in. The people are great and the 100% payback is a big bonus. Check out the website for more info: http://tracyoasismarina.com/id3.html

Check out the Future Pro tour. www.futureprotour.net
The basic entry fee is $80.00, they have outstanding benefits for kids, (Future Future Pro), and the central division is in your area.

If you want a well organized, pro style tourny, I would suggest trying the Hook Series. Gene and his people do a great job, not to mention it's run out of one of the most fishermen friendly marina's on the Delta (Russos) you would be hard pressed to find anything close and with a low entry as you stated you were looking for, it would be a great experience for both of you. Good luck.

BShafer-
I’m not sure what low cost is to you or what kind of price range you are looking for, so here is some info on a low cost team tournament trail, and some brief history. I hope this helps.
American Bass has been in business for over 20 years running team tournaments. We offer 3 classic events at the end of the season that you qualify for throughout the year. We have targeted every type of angler out there, from first timers to pros! We have many different types of teams that we call categories. (father/son, mother/daughter, boy/girl, etc) and the highest finishing category team in each region is also invited to our fish-offs. This year again we offer to the qualifying teams “Choose your own Classicâ€

G- Come pick up my boat/rig out. I am working and unable to make the Jan date and Feb date. -- I am trying to get the 1-19 date off just to be able to make the Sac ISE.

If oyu need a Partner ~~ I can line you up with Luke... (He can show you how the boat works -- so it does not go "bwam bwam bwam" when on on plane.. )

Also -- PM JasonC as well of he is free and you can split the cost with him in his boat if He is free.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Thank you to all that addresses my question. I have to agree the Hook puts on a great circuit but I'm unable to utilize it due to CheerLeading compitetions(I spend more money that then I did tournament fishing ) they conflict maybe next year. Future Pro has been on the list and maybe the ticket for a few events, along with the cbaf.

Thanks for all the info
