Hey guys, for those of you who rig the stinger hook with wire, I have a few ???
What size, type, what type of clips, and where do you get them. I've been using braid, but have seen people using wire and want to give it a try. Thanks

Re: Riggings for the Hud
I know someone did make a rigging that you are asking for. I am sorry I cannot remember the name of the company. I have one left.
I will get back to you on this one. I will look for the name of the company. It was a all metal harness.

Not how to rig a stinger per se, but an excellent step by step guide for rigging a hud that one of our members posted a while ago. It's definitely worth it to review this if you haven't already:

Cmarkfish - That would be great of you could let me know what it is. Thanks.
StockOption - Yea, i've tried FishChris's method, It's a great method don't get me wrong, obviously he knows what he is doing and it works, but I'm just looking for the wire and clamps. Thank you though.

Branus - Here is how I have mine rigged - I will include some a pic - not of the process but of the finished bait -
I used Sevenstrand Brand Duratest in 40 lb., along with Sevenstrand Crimps in size A4.
Basically make a loop from line tie eye to hook and make sure the ends meet in the middle, then crimp, then sink the hook and apply some bait glue.

Re: Riggings for the Hud
Get yourself some 40lb sevenstrand wire..non coated is perferred..on the back of the package there will be a chart that will show you right sized crimp deals to use for the pound test you plan to use... then buy yourself a crimping tool...its worth to buy the ones specificly designed for it...then buy yourself a heavy duty treble hook...I perfer a number 2...some guys might feel otherwise...Im no expert but I hope that helps
