Live wells clean & dry

I just cleaned and dried my live well. It sure looked great. I noticed a little gunk between my screens at the bottom of the well. I unscrewed them and holy scales and gunk bassman. I couldnt believe all the fish scales and other little rocks and stuff underneath the rubber grommits of the scale screens. To make this cleen and dry motto a success everyone needs to make the best effort to clean everything in the well as well as the screens at the bottom of the well. HBC contestants I will bet they unscrew the screens at the gate. Dont get caught dirty

Thanks Don, I will do that. Sometimes I flush out wells with bleech and water to really clean them, then dry them out really good.

ken I might need the wake up if I will be able to even get there. I just got that nasty flu and I dont think I will be going anywhere for at least a few days. I know my dad had the same thing and he was sick for 2 weeks. Thank goodness that it still is almost a week away. If I had to drive there tomorrow morning I dont think I could make it 400 miles and all.

you will still have that junk in the piping going to and from the live well.. They aren't that clean and dry..lol

Thats why I flush the system with the bleech or chlorine through the system and even run recycle to clean out entire system. then drain out bottom plug. Works great
