Yeah it was an awesome deal-what a set up....even the driver/passenger seats had his signature stitched into the seat backs! One bad *** rig. Did anybody check out the clothes he had for sale or whatever? Just curious what it was/said. I was surprised how much better Sac was than San Mateo! ALOT more crowded too-if you didnt check it all out betteed get ta gettin cuz its definatly worth it! Tight Lines-

I was gonna take a picture, dead batt on the phone. VERY NICE RIG. Shows how hard work, dedication and sacrifice can pay off.

Also proves I'm doing something WAY WRONG  .

Best of luck in the future Mr. Reese!

I got a few pictures. I'll post them in a few minutes. Insane set-up, a bit overboard, but still an awesome ride.

Here are a couple photos I got today at the ISE show. Ford F650 Super Duty. The joke at the round table was that he stole Dave Rush's water truck and transformed into a bass hauling rig.

I just showed my wife these pic's and, of course, her comment involved a stereotype about big trucks compensating for something or other, I lost interest in her response at that point. She just doesn't understand... thats one cool set-up.

LOL... getalife... Your wife might be onto something.. you know.. womens intuition and all...

In the immortal word of Shrek... " Do you think he's compensating?"

LOL... It's a wee bit gaudy there Skeet...

A pop-top cab-over camper would be a sweet set up for someone on the road all the time. (They even have showers in them for those times when you can't find a motel with a vacancy). And if you don't put an un-necessary lift kit on (which is worthless for towing a boat), your overhead clearance is perfect for any road in the US. A smarter man would have forgone the lift and gone with the cab over, especially with Skeet's money.

Overall... A big thumbs down... Sorry Skeet, Kudos on the effort tho.

Anyone know if the boat and trailer still have all the neon and the subs they installed on Basstech?

And yes, Corey did a great job with the graphics.

Good fishing Skeet,

-Paul-

I was taught many things and 2 of them come to mind here...1 being if you don't have something good or kind to say then keep it zipped and the 2nd being don't let envy eat you alive-I dont care what ANYBODY says there isnt a person on this site that just wouldnt looooove to hav this rig sittin' out front with his own name painted down the hood! As far as Skeet being Gaudy-that is his style! Look at the bright shoes h wears....his hair, etc. I am proud of him and damn glad to be his self proclaimed biggest fan. Tight Lines-

Oh chill out Scott. You can mark me down for one that wouldn't love to have that rig... If someone gave it to me, I would sell it and buy something I would actually want.

It's a bass fishing forum, we share opinions, both pro and con, If you can't accept that, then you are not going to be a happy reader. By sharing the good and the bad, everyone can benefit from each others experiences... We get to help others and be helped, share likes and dislikes, learn from others misfortunes and mistakes, share sucess, etc. Don't get your panties in a bunch because some of us wouldn't want the rig Skeet is running. I don't like Fords, I Drive a Silverado, and I like Tundras as Dodge trucks as well.

Yeah Gaudy is Skeet's style, which I, as well as many others don't care for. But that doesn't mean I am hate'n on Skeet. Just because I don't like his taste in color and trucks, doesn't mean I am not rooting for him along with the rest of the California Pros.

There isn't an ounce of envy regarding that rig. Like you, I am proud of Skeet, however unlike you, I am not proud of his choice in style. I do think it appeals to the lake lice, and that just like Jason Quinn, He is trying to appeal to a younger fan base and be a good role model for them. For that I am proud of him... But I still think that rig is Butt Ugly.

Good Fishing

MPG

Post by green_monster »

The MPG question came up in the round table discussion and Skeet said that it gets a surprising 12-14 MPG. Not horrible.....

When that question came up, I figured 8-10 towing, but 12-14 towing is too bad for a big rig like that. That trailer was pretty sweet as well.

Thanks guys. That truck was sure a project. If that thing can be wrapped, I guess you can wrap the moon.
I am very hard on myself for the quality of work I try to give my customers, and for how hard that truck was to do I was happy. Yes there were a few things that I wish would have come out a little better, but remember, it vinyl, not paint. But hey it caught everyones attention, didnt it.
So, everyone that liked it and has said nice job, THANK YOU. If you didnt like it, well. Sorry.
Thanks
Corey

Anyone stop to think that just maybe, that is what his sponsors wanted. He does have sponsors and I'm sure they have something to say about the way they are portrayed. I know if I was sponsoring anyone, I would have some input. I think it looks great.

Can you imagine if Elvis Presley would have fished bass tournaments?...He did like to fish...Saw a runabout of his on a show the other day...I could just imagine what his truck and boat would have looked like...Corey, you would of had American Flag graphics and a big EAGLE like he wore on the Aloha Special!!...Go for it Skeet!!!!...Take no prisoners!!!! Corey, AWESOME JOB!!!!...I need to get a boat done some day in Shad Graphics!! HMMMM???

Elvis saying- "If I stand still, I'm dead!"

Keep Moving!!!!!!!! Man, he would have been 73...We were at Bull Frog Landing on the Cal Delta water skiing back in the 70's when a lady came out to the dock and told told us Elvis had died...

Skeet's rig is amazing!

Those Reese's are compensating for something all the time! 8)
Hey, I have to tell you seeing that truck motivated me a little bit the other day, and I have to tell you also that Skeet did this on his own and sponsors have nothing to do with it, Buuuuuut.....At the same time, there is a reason Skeet is the # 1 paid Professional Bass Fisherman in the World. He is the MASTER of promoting his business ( Himself) As we all know there is a lot more to this sport than just fishing!

GREAT JOB SKEET! ( and Corey)

I would add some PURPLE to it, then It would be the perfect (promotional) truck! I think if it had the camper shell it would apeal more to the babyboomers!   ( missed that statistic by 1 year just so you know!)

Just curious... what do you think that whole set-up cost? The trailer itself looks like it cost more than my boat.

guess I hit a nerve? Your right we are all entitled to our opinions and thats what I offered up-now who's panties are in a bunch? Ha its all good man-guess I shoulda said "all but a few of us would love to have it"-I am a Ford man so I loved it even more for that-I was most impressed with the trailer though. Anyways I'll calm down if you will-lets just go fishin and settle it on the water :) Tighties-
