Eastcoast arrogance on display at Super Bowl.

Post by Rick G »

2 more weeks of "The greatest this and that". Now I can go fishin that day and not worry about getting back for gametime. Pats are great but enough of the "Chowders". Pack blew it. Rick G.

LOL

Please..............kind of ironic given your arrogant post.

And the Pack didn't blow it they had it taken away by a MUCH better team. The Giants were CLEARLY the better team on this day, C L E A R L Y.

Not like I'm a huge fan, but I was pulling for them.

It's basic, when there's a fumble on the ground you fall on it. I believe they lost it right there.

Great game, and the Giants came to play.
I had to come back...I know...

Sorry....

...the Pack lost it when the SECOND field goal attempt in less than a three minute timespan went through the uprights.

The Pack was outplayed in just about ALL facets of the game today, they did not blow anything they were beaten by a better football team today.(PERIOD)

Stock O, you are right. My Packers lost to a better team this nite. Plaxico lit Harris up, and Brett's passes were flat, no zip tonite.
I didn't think NY had a chance in H to beat us. As bad as they were out played tonite they still had a chance.

Your teams have had an awesom year.

Football season ended tonite for me.

I'm ready for spring training to start tomorrow. My YANKEES gots to turn this shxx around now.

The Giants are the wife's team, needless to say she is thrilled. The Giants were very fortunate today. Palxico had one of (if not the) best game of his career. He picked a good time for that. And Eli, damn I certainly did not see him continuing his hot streak and man did he. Combine all this with a pretty flat Packers team and the Giants win. And yes I believe you are right the Giants should have won this game going away, credit the Pack for hanging tough and having a shot at the W all the way into overtime.

And I am actually a Redskins fan :(

So my football season ended a few weeks ago :(

And lets stop all this silly talk about the Yanks right now ;) ;)

since you are a Redskins Fan, you are ok with me. My family used to have season seats @ RFK and I used to go to all the home games when I lived there. Sonny J. and Billy Kilmer. Congrats to The Sox, but this is going to be the Angels year. Sorry Mike, we own the Yanks. I am with ya, my football season ended yesterday also. Rick G.

Hate to give them ANY credit (no doubt where my Fan heart rests!)

BUT

The Giants won 3 road games against division winners by playing better, near mistake-free football when it counted. Kevin Gilbride has called 3 near perfect games to date. I sure hope his phone isn't ringing for that Atlanta job...... get his a$$ out of the NFC East!

Until Next Year.................

My very first NFL game was at RFK, I saw the Redskins beat the St Louis Cardinals -- it was awesome !!! I have not made it to FEDEX field yet I hope to soon.

The Angels this past season just ran out of gas and limped into the playoffs. Matthews was out, Vlad was hurt and the team in October wasn't even close to the team that owned the Sox in Anaheim earlier in the year. I expect the Angels to be pretty formidable again this year. I haven't really kept up with the offseason moves the Yanks have made (short of resigning A-Rod) but if they have not significantly improved their starting pitching...well...from where I sit that would be wicked OUTSTANDING :):)

Thanks.

Although the Pat's are certainly overdue for a pummeling I think they are just too good to be pummeled by anyone. However ALL the pressure in the next game will be on the Pat's, no one is seriously thinking the Giants can win. However, I believe the Giants CAN win this game. Don't forget this game from earlier this year:

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter?game_id=2 ... week=REG17

This was a very, very close game. The Giants had the lead after three quarters and then an Eli Manning pick cost the Giants the game. I think this Superbowl could surprise some folks. Here's hoping we have a close, well played game, which I think we will.

The Giants need to figure out how to have both of their running backs in the game at the same time. I will not be surprised to see that new wrinkle when they take the field against the Pat's.

In honor of the wife: GO BIG BLUE !!!!
