Havasu Stren needs You !

Post by Murph »

Especially if you plan on fishing from the Back of the boat. They are about 33 co-anglers, short, right now.

Any Pro want to pay my entry? J/K Only wanted to get a few front seaters stirred up. I thought about going but it is too much fishing with Delta NG and Clear Lake WON. But Maybe........

I wouldn't rule that out. I am sure that there will be some Pro that would be interested in doing so.

What are the numbers right now?

The guy didn't give me a total, he just told me how many back-seaters, they were short at this time. The deadline is tomorrow, and I believe that is when you have to start signing up with someone.

Hey Vinnie, I hope all is well. I'm sure after tomorrow's dead line, you will see some bartering going on. Mel and I had already made arrangements for Havasu, (she's ready for a Vacation), so I was prepared to sign up as a Backseater, if need be. But I finally got my confirmation for the Tourney. It's been a Very, Very, Very long winter, up here. I've never shovelled so much Globally Warmed Snow in my life.

Robert,
I'm in for the first part of what you've got here. I'll go, if a pro wants to front it.

You lost me on the too much fishing statement, though. :?

I might have to get in on that one. Stren doesnt pay well at all but since i have a good track record there i might just sign up. Anybody want to put me on the pink slip of your ranger? Its pointless if i dont own one. 3000 bucks for the win isnt much when your going against 150 some odd people. Thats why i dont fish those anymore. I got reamed for not owning one.

Some of us have to work..........Who am I kidding. You know what I do for a living. I should go. That is why I bought the right boat. As we discussed on this topic last year, I think people should buck up and pay their own way if you want to go. Just remember things could easily turn around on all the backseaters looking for the free ride.

Co-anglers are guaranteed to fish with three different pros. Then again, one of those three might be me. And yet again, I helped get a check for at least one of my co-anglers in all but one FLW last year. (Does that read right?)

I'm with littlebailey, there is no reason why boat status should matter on the co-angler side.
One thing to remember about that boat owner incentive; it only applies to the winner. And, since even KVD only wins 2% of his total tournaments fished, it does not math out to use the incentive as an excuse to buy one boat over another.
You've gotta look at it as a bonus if you do own Ranger/Evinrude/Yamaha, not a dinger if you don't.

BTW: Mercury, Honda, Nitro, Skeeter, Champion, Legend, and Bass Cat also offer performance incentives. See your local dealer or area rep for details.

Peace,
James

Everyone is over looking a major aspect of the non-boater side. I fished the Stren on Mead last year, and it was a blast (though extreme conditions on Mead made it tough). Where else can you fish with 3 pros, in their best spots while they use their best baits. Even paying 300+ for a day with a guide he still doesn't take you to his best spots or use his best baits. You get to fish for 3 days in a person's best spots with their best baits for less then the cost of a guide.

Excuse me...the boat thang on the Co-Angler side is what it is...The paybacks are still good if you don't qualify for it...

Tell me where else can you win up to $5,000 dolllars as a non-boater for $325? and also get to to fish for three days with three different pros?

Bottom line if you want to win Ranger Boat contingencies...buy a Ranger! I fished these events as a Co-Angler for two years and even won one event...no I didn't win the contingency boat as I wasn't a Ranger Owner but the $4,800 check was nice 8) ...however I did make $13,000 that year from the back deck! Oh, and I did win a Ranger Boat at the end of the year

If any of you boaters are running a Triton make sure you are signed up for Triton Gold. If you win running a Triton you will win a TR200 boat and trailer. The highest finishing Triton Gold guy will win $1000. All the information is at www.tritonboats.com

My only thing is that with BASS I have a weekend off, or only need to take 1-2 days off depending on my schedule. FLW needs 4 days during the week

Gt5Bass,

I as a coangler would rather put up $700 for the FLW NG fo a chance to win $25K and still fish with 3 pros on their best water and see what baits they use.

I would fish Havasu, but with the FLW NG Delta and the Beijing Olympics, all my vacation time has been used for the year.

Good luck to everyone out there.

I think that they would take co-anglers signups until the number is even.

If you can help out a local pro then contact the pro directly before calling FLW. If a co-angler calls to get in without naming the pro, FLW will work down the waitlisted anglers.

When in doubt, call FLW.

I'd love to fish it, but I am out of money, until I get what I overpaid uncle sam back. I missed Shasta and am probably not going to make havasu either. I wish you Cali guys would have told me to stay in Alabama. I have been out here since October and have still not found a job. I am leaning more and more towards just fishing for a living or winning this lottery.

I still need a co-angler....

Post by TEAMDEADMONEY »

There is still plenty of time for co anglers to sign up but now you need a Pro to sign up with. I'm entered and paid in full on the Pro side now I just need a co to make it a guaranteed entry.

If you are a coangler needing to sign up please PM me so we can sign up together and both be in.
