A friend passes

Post by Homer »

It is with a very heavy heart that I must tell you all, Manual (Manny) Nunez has passed away early this morning in his sleep.
Manny has been a beloved member of the Castaic Bass Club for many years.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Manny's family and friends. His laughter and friendship will be missed but never forgotten.

Thanks Manny for the memories!!

I can't believe this week. My wifes cousin passed away 2 days ago.
Brendon in the hospital and now Manny!

Very bad news. What a bad week, Manny, what has happened with the Widicks as well. If any of you guys ever look at any Eastern Sierra forums, one of the moderators of Rockcreeklake.com, a guy named Terry, AKA hardrock, also passed away recently from cancer. Man, this is tough. I remember fishing a couple of years ago with Manny at Piru, right after the water had come up and all that derbris was in the water. We only caught one fish but had a blast. I don't know if there ever was a time when I saw him and he did not have a smile or was not making a joke or laughing. He spent several years working down near Lake Guntersviille and used to joke that he was "the only Mexican in the area." What a great and funny guy, he will be sorely missed.

Jeff's right.
He was one of the true nice guys in the world.
Keep a cold one ready on whatever lake you're fishing Manny, for when I get there.
Goodbye my friend.
