TODAY'S NEWS CHIEF SCALPED AT CASITAS 28 DAY BAN

Post by Cmarkfish »

After spending two days and tons of cleaner and waxing. I was caught trying to bring in drops of bleach into Casitas. I went to Casitas at High Noon today, saw one boat on the water and another bass warrior who did not make it in on the side of the road. My live wells and bilge area were clean and dry at the market. I was very bummed out, they looked at everything and even after stopping at the market they found the drops of water in the wells. After the meeting they had today the message was water/debris zero tolerance. The ranger that checked the boat was ranger Kirk. The ranger said I had no debris. Yeah I think. Got my refund form.
I will have to look at new hunting grounds.

THe best part about it...the ones in charge...Mr. Rooney...set up the system to look good to the board and save his own job but yet look like he is trying to work with the fishermen...

If I could only say the rest thats on my mind...#@$# @&%$

Mark, welcome to Casitas "banned" club...

I wonder how the fishing at Piru is

ALL TOURNAMENTS...

Post by TEAMDEADMONEY »

should be cancelled there PERIOD!!!! AND THAT INCLUDES TOP STICK!!! Its rediculous what they are putting everyone through.

If I was in the TOP STICK Id bow out of the Casitas event because its not worth it to drive 2 hours, spend the time cleaning my boat up, spend gas money and everything else only to be turned away at the gate...FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!

I hear you Pete...these clowns have the power but no clue of what they are doing at Casitas...

I'm in the Air Force and could have gone to any base I wanted to, I pulled strings to get here...and now I'm stuck 2 miles from a lake that has become full of politics and bullsh@t...and I have 2 years left...

I don't don't blame you Pete, if Chief can't get in, who can...he keeps his boat as clean as Lance does...

I never thought fishing would become what it has....

Its a sad period for fishing in SO Cal...

Funny thing is Mr. Rooney won't have a job if they close the lake.

He'll still have a job. There's still a park there, with camping and the water park. And the rental boats.
Will they still allow shore fishing?
He's probably got seniority and job security.
The call about closing the lake isn't his.
Maybe, in a way, his strict policy will demonstrate to the water board that the lake can still be open safely to fishermen, because the Rangers are doing a "good" job inspecting.
I know it's a pain, but, if such a strict policy keeps the lake open to us, then we need to find a way to set up pre tournament cleaning stations where we can all help each other to get our boats ready. It may take an extra hour in the morning, but, at least, there would be a full field.
Clean and Dry stations.

Wow Chief, I couldn't possibly imagine your boat not getting in. So basicly, I should save myself the hassle of driving over there to try and get in. Do you think if I just call them they can go ahead and put me on the list so I can get my 28 days started without wasting gas driving there and back?

Well Dougie Poo..you should know by know what kinda world I live in..just a bit left of center. I guess I should have invited you up to Oak View today to help us with boat and truck cleaning..then you could stick around for the grilling out that's about to fire up. After today, my boat is cleaner than the day I brought it home brand new.

mark that sounds like a real good idea. maybe put the clean and dry station right at the fire gate. has two boats go in for inspec two more are getting clean and dry. and check in at the inspec station. if they want to be hard core about this then we need to be even more hard core then they are. 8) maybe even a tarp set up to drive under.
