Pardee issue one more time!

Post by luvmystratos »

I know this issue was addressed earlier this week but I had to address it again. I was shocked to see how many Boats were turned away yesterday. I was lucky to pass the check because my Boat was CLEAN! It seems that any boat with one trace of water in the Live Wells or Bilge Area were being turned away. The gate gives you a questionaire concerning your fishing exploits for the last 30 days. If you have been in the Bay Area or the Delta they will check you out a little more. They will refund your entry fee if they should turn you away after the inspection. I asked the two Rangers why the check and they said the Mussell issue (Zebra and Quagga) and that Comanche and Pardee are part of EBMUD and they want their drinking water free of the two Mussells. So, again, be prepared to get checked and dry out those Live Wells before arriving at the Lake. One club was having a Tournament there and a bunch of them blanked; as a matter of fact every Boat I ran into said they BLANKED; that lake is rising and cold!!!

Yup it was a tough bite out there. I didn't get blanked but only hooked 2 fish all day. We passed by you a couple times. Nice Stratos. I was in the white 21X. I picked this one up in 30' down at the south end. Six pounds 6 oz.

Norval,

Got it on a pumpkin flick/shake worm on a 1/8th oz head. No swimbait takers although I had a BIG follower on a Triple Trout. Give a couple weeks to a month and the swimbaits might get going. No fish up shallow that I saw all day.

Nice fish...I'm glad someone got bit. Not only could I not catch them, I couldn't even find anyone who said they got bit.
I know it will get better in time, but darn that was a tough day.
