Gents -

What the board is referring to as a terrorist attack is more akin to Quaggas being illegally introduced into the lake as opposed to someone blowing up the dam.

As far as a real terrorist attack, I think the bad guys can come up with some better targets than Casitas. I would Kramer's favorite impoundment, Lake Elsinore would be #1 on the list

is being thrown around too liberally here. A "threat" yes, but nothing on the lines of a "terrorist". Come on now, straight out of tabloid journalism. Its a way of sensationalizing their plight.

If someone say they're gonna rip off your head and sh|t down your neck, is that a "terrorist" threat?

The solution for this whole invasive species deal has already been devised by Hollywood.
In the movie "Them", about giant ants invading the storm drain system in Los Angeles, the wino in detox who first saw the ants in the storm drains was being questioned by James Arness, of Army Intelligence. He was impressed by the uniforms, and had the line that said it best. It sums up how to deal with the whole mussel situation, from an angler's perspective.

"Make me a sergeant, in charge of the booze".
