We always see a bunch of hogs from the Delta and our other prime fishing waters, but it seems this year there are a lot more being caught on the Delta, for what ever reason..Perhaps it is just more people fishing there, or those that are fishing are getting a whole lot better at it..Just curious as to how many others think the Delta is putting out a lot more double digits this year..

Each year about this time
Take a kid fishing, and don't forget about us older kids either..
Re: Each year about this time
Mac,
A number of guys have realized over the past 5-6 years that posting photos of big fish only invites more anglers to take a trip to your home water. Ask the guys who used to fish Coyote Reservoir as every time someone posts a big limit of fish with little to no boat pressure on the water, the very next day they start to see increased traffic on the water. It's even got to the point where some guys modify their pics in Photoshop so that other people don't know where they caught their fish.
I think there are plenty of guys catching fish, it's just that most people don't immediately upload them to the web. Kind of like the dock talk around the delta about what baits/spots are working. Guys are reluctant to tell everyone on the internet how or where they're catching them until that pattern/bait hits the tail end of that feeding period (usually the latter half of the 6-8 week window).

Amen to that coyote used to have hardly any boat pressure then It started increasing and increasing and now a days you try to get on that lake at 10 in the morning and you cant even get on the lake. Everyone keeps it quite then it leaks and more people and more people come out its all word of mouth and it is a never ending process

I'm just friggen pissed! These wanna be bass fishery rating experts don't know their ARSE from from a blue gill bed! The California Delta is the greatest bass fishery in the world, and I'm out ta prove it! One tournament a year don't prove squat on any bass fishery! Me and my clients will show ya'll, fish here, or just go play with the rest of the world! The proof is in the puddle! HAR! HAR! HAR!

Come on now Cooch, you just like posting pictures of yourself holding toads (sound familar?).
Re: Each year about this time
Cooch,
The Delta is hands down my favorite place in the world to fish.
With that said Clear Lake has really come on over the last -3 years.
Which is better? Right now Clear Lake seems to get the nod. However, I will say that is appears to be easier to catch a 10-12 pounder on the Delta and a boat load of 5-6 pounders on CL.

Here ya come crawling out of the woodwork again Urby! HAR! HAR! HAR! Long time no hear from! It's really not a matter of what I like, or feeding what you might think is some egotistical satisfaction I might git from it. It's all about a guide smartly marketing his business, and in a matter of two weeks, being booked 2.5 months out! It's also about reassuring to the readers here, that the info and help I share, is honest and factual. It's also about pissin' off a group of locals who for the most part, absolutely despise what I do here, I really don't give a rat's arse about them!Urban wrote:Come on now Cooch, you just like posting pictures of yourself holding toads (sound familar?).
Rest assured, the pics will slow down, it's the only way I can slow down the local Rat crowds who follow or come looking for me! Then again, maybe I'll just keep it up, cause it sure seems ta git under the skin of a lot a guys!

You can do better than that can't you, yer a purty sharp guy, two years in a cacoon and that's the best ya can do? HAR! HAR! HAR!
