since when do bass like coffee
since when do bass like coffee
I was watching shaw grigsby's show today and he was using the new strike king tubes made with coffee grains. he was catching both smallies and largemouth on them rigging them with a jig head for the smallies and texas style for the largemouth. does anyone use these. I was sort of surprised to see these things in action in a pros boat. does anyone have any coments on these baits

When did bass start liking coffee? Probably around the time they started liking garlic or anise! Remember when Mann's Jelly Worms were (still are?) fruit scented?

Man I don't know about fish but I sure love it!!!
I will drink my about 2-3 cups of starbucks and start flinging my stacy 90 and 3:16 mission like there is not tomorrow!!! but man is it hard to slow down when you need to drag that jig. I can't buy any lures made of coffee, I will most likely eat them

Re: Yes
According to the bait companies bass have wide ranging tastes. There is one thing that exceedes the varied taste of bass and that is a fishermans desire for a new secret weapon.

I know some trout fisherman that put coffee grounds with their worms a couple of days befor fishing, and swear that it works better that anything els. Could be good for bass also.

Re: We read you the first time
If you want to catch a slightly better fish in the winter months you have to upgrade to Celebration Ale. If had not been so stingy with it on saturday I might have caught a fish as opposed to both me and my bud getting skunked for 11 hours!!!
The funny thing was that I had a bag of french roast that I had planned to try that day and forgot it in the truck.
Even funnier was that I didn't put the cap back on my garlic bang and then closed the lid on my Plano. I kept commenting to my bud how that Bang really lasted until I opened the lid of my box and found a half inch of garlic oil soaking everything inside the top compartment!!!

Re: We read you the first time
I read about this a few months ago, thought it was worth a try. So bought a pound of folgers put it and a batch of 10 to 14" worms in a 1 gal. zip lock let it sit and used them in Mexico. Both my 10lbers came on coffee worms. Had a friend in the boat using jigs, the coffee worms out did his jigs for # and size untill I ran out.

Unfortunately, what Dewayne failed to mention is, his new scent, will be banned in all tournaments! Course, that may explain why it's not out right now, they're attempting ta come up with a non-alcoholic version!Dewayne wrote:THe Dewayne series of baits will be infused with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
