Aluminum vs Fiberglass?

Post by Mark_Chaussee »

What is preventing bass anglers from purchasing aluminum bass boats? They are economical, light weight, same configuration and horse power as fiberglass, and don't suffer from gel coat cracking problems. What am I missing?

It's just better

with the exception of being towed by a light truck, I haven't found anything that Aluminum does better than fiberglass. Fiberglass is quieter, faster, more stable, better looking and eaiser to keep clean.
And everyone knows bass are attracted to fast moving shiny objects :D

Aluminum boat...a G-3, and I've got to say I love it.
It's an 18.5 with a 115 4-stroke Yamaha.
It does about 55-60 mph.
You can link to them since they are a sponsor of Westernbass.com.
I have to note that I am also getting a new I-Class Skeeter, when they come out next month.
I got the Aluminum boat with two things in mind.
1. Is to go and fish where fiberboats can only dream of fishing.
2. As a back up boat in case my Skeeter is having down time.
See Valley Cycle and Marine in Lemoore/Fresno.
Ask for Ron Hill...they will take good care of you.
Yes, I am sponsored by G-3.

Have fun,
