Curado D Vs Citica D

Post by FSHRFWL »

Looking to start replacing some old Curados. What are the differences in the two reels? How do they compare to the old Curados? Is is really worth the Extra $80 for the Curado D? I really like the 200 size and the 6.2 gear ratio but the Curado doesnt come that way. Will it ever?

The 200 size reels are very different. The Curado has an Aluminum right side plate to provide a more rigid platform. We also offer the Magnumlite spool in the Curado which is much lighter. This allows for easier casting and casting lighter lures with less effort.

The Citica has a Graphite right side plate. The Citica has our Lo-Mass spool which is similar to our older model SF reels. Ths is a great design, just not as light as the Curado spool. The Citica also has one less bearing that does not affect performance really.

Hey fire bug, I've been fishing Curados since they came out with the Bantom 6.2. I own two of them Best baitcasters I ever baught. I have been thinking about buying the new curado, but $200 is alaught of money. So I baught a Citica. Tell u the truth I cant see any differance. Yes the curado is better built, but u can have two Great reels for the price of one.
