THAT SUCKS !!!

Is there a way to lock these tongues while stored ??

I was wondering as I was trying to figure out how to unhook my new rig for about 42 minuets. No matter how many times I pried underneath and jacked up with my thumb on the slide thingy -- before I realized that it lifts up once you push it over with your thumb.... Image
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

No amount of locks on the hitch would stop these guys. If there is a better way I would sure like to know.

His boat was behind a key coded gate that didn't look compromised at all.

His boat is all black with a purple stripe on the side if I remember right.

Please try and keep this post one top, the last time we posted a stolen boat, if I remember they found it and the scum who stole it.

Sounds like an inside job.
His boat is probably already on it's way to a foreign buyer.

If you buy a boot like the cops put on your rim the boat ain't going anywhere! About $350 but the peace of mind is priceless. Sorry for all the troubles and I hope this ends well.

MAN people! Sux! If you think about when was the last time someone looked at the numbers on your boat. There should be more of these checks on the water or at the ramp.

I think a year or two back someone snagged a boat and it was purple too. There's a purple peter eater out there.

The boot is a good idea. I am considering designing a hidden GPS module that can be remotely activated for immediate tracking. I'll probably bring it to market once a successful and thoroough beta test is completed.

I would hereby like to offer a free GPS module to Dee Thomas, Cooch, Brett Hite and Brent Ehler for beta testing in the delta region.

And in August I'd like to offer beta test modules to Aaron Martens, Mike Folkstad, Cliff Perch and John Murray. The Las Vegas region is a high crime area so I think these guys could really use the extra protection.

Let me know if you guys are interested.

Good idea, but they've had a system for boats on the market for some time, Mobile Gaurdian. If it isn't LoJack good luck getting the Police to pursue it.

Dan, there's always room for competition. Besides, I want to personally verify that these new units are yielding accurate GPS readings back at HQ.

Make one that has a gaurantee and I'll buy it from you. I agree there is always room for competition especially when it could help keep scumbags at bay.

I think the hidden GPS unit is a great idea because the boot can be taken off simply by taking the tire off, at least the ones I have seen and if its in an area like a boat storage they have lots of time and it would only take 2-3 minutes for a pro to take off a tire and put on a dif one. I had my boat cover stolen off my Ranger when it was in storage in Clear Lake and you also had to put in your private code to get in , barbed wire all the way around the place so it was someone who also kept a boat or house hold items at this Boat/mini storage site. Needless to say I do not keep my boat there anymore, I don't want to donate another one

Lowjack for your boat. I'm sure they could install one on your boat.

I'm sure LoJack would work fine. But I want to do some vigorous beta-testing/tracking of this other product. Thanks anyway.

John,
Can I come by the shop and whatch the GPS tracking in action when these guys get them?????? Looks like some PRE-FISHING for me and I don't even have to leave the house  Just kidding SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA!!!!! You are just going to have to fnd A place in the hull that they can't find it and the battery needed to run the unit. As they usually take the batteries out first thing.. It realy SUCKS that we have to think of thing to track our stuff because of SOME A$$HOLES in this world
