I hear that it is closed for letting water out. apparently once it reaches a certain level before a certain date, the water district lets the water out.
havent heard of anything special, except for the bite being extremely difficult. Was up there a couple of weeks ago and had a blast of a time catching trout.
bass bite not quite right, but im hearing that the place to be is eastman or hensley lake. From what I am hearing is monster's are being pulled out of it right and left on jigs.
Best of Luck to ya.

If the wind is down it should be really good! Water level is perfect and the color is great. Early morning reaction; rip bait(ghost minnow), blade(white/gold&silver willow) or swim a jig(brn/green) off the bank!
As the sun comes up start flippin the tullys(senko brn/blk fk or Texas rig/pegged reaper, red/brn/blk and drop shot the points(Arrons Magic, MM, green weanie) 4" or 6".
Good Luck
