Squatters On The Delta

Post by JRock »

Has anyone else lost their best stretches of banks due to the infestation of squatters?

Yep, people show up, and tear up the bank in my line of work. This is different than your question.

Most often a boat or two may anchor, and decide to stay on a fishing spot. You can't really tell, they may be there for the weekend or years. Most live aboards sink. Squatters on the bank are a different deal. Somebody does own the property, and it is within someones juristiction.

If you need help trying to figure out who to contact about it, PM me and I need the exact location. I should be able to help out if its on the Delta. If its at a lake, I am not much help.

Probably some good fishing around those junkards. Ya figure they pee and poop off the side of em and te bass are eating all that tasty stuff.

last time I was there, I did notice that a slough near franks that had a bunch of pieces of crap tied together and the cranksters were in full effect.

The one that used to have about ten black and white cats running all over it? That one got wrecked in the January storms, capsized. There's now about three houseboats wrecked in that slough. And yes, it was one of my favored spots, too - always caught fish up the slough from them and a few stripers too. :(
