Re: Question for all tournament fisherman ????
DId they pay there entry fee like everybody else? Do the rules forbid it?
What difference would it make? As long as no rules are broken then why would there be a problem?
How is it any different than a sponsored pro fishing a tournament that is sponsored by their sponsor?
You can make some of the people happy some of the time and all of the people happy none of the time.

No offense, but this question is moot.
I'm with Ricky on this one.
Next question.

I run a team circuit and I have many sponsors for my trail most of them are anglers that own a business or work for some one. I have been doing this for 5 years. I have never had any one complain about a sponsor fishing the tournament. All they are doing by sponsoring a tournament is putting in more money for every one to win. Vern

I'm sorry if my earlier response seemed rude. I didn't mean it that way. Let me clarify.
I think that the beauty of tournament angling is, regardless of who has what equipment, experience, bank roll, or even where the prizes come from; there is about 10 hours of the day that we are all equals. We are all anglers with a mission, a vision, a quest. We are all faced with decision making. Talent, skill, solution, and execution, combined to create a limit of five fish heavier than others caught that day. Like someone else said in an earlier post: the only person guaranteed a check is the tournament director. But, let's get off that for a moment. Or actually, let's get Back To why we are there: We like to fish. The more we worry about the little things like who put in what money, and who has a right to win it; let us not forget that inner child feeling we get each time a fish is hooked up. Or the thrill of running across the lake to seek out that serene spot. Again, we are all after the same thing. Aren't we?
Peace,
James
PS,
yes, i do like semi-colons
