Kaweah, Pine Flat or Success

Post by CJ13 »

I am going to be in the Visialia area this coming weekend and have not fished any lakes in the area. I was wondering which of these three lakes would you guys go to fish. I just saw the results from the tournament at Success so it looks like the swimbait bite is on there, but what about Kaweah and Pine Flat. I have heard good things about both lakes but have never been on them so I dont know what to expect. If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated, you can email me at cjodi1@sbcglobal.net. Thanks

The bite at Pine Flat and Kaweah is good, but the size is not yet. The bite at Success has actually been tough, but with rising water, it will get better fast. I think Kaweah is the most fun and is the closest to Visalia.

pine flats is a big lake with lots of wood and rock with spotted bass and largemouth. Keweah is smaller but has larger largemouth. Success is a mud hole but has some spotted bass mostly largemouth but little structure unless its near full but if near capacity has lots of structure, i've even fished the main parking lot at Success.
