Lake Mead... WON Pro/Am, should be good. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate - some wind both days, but not too bad.

Good luck where ever you're fishing!

You guys that won't be at D.V.L. after all the talk about how you all fish D.V.L. and such.
Man you are going to miss out.
D.V.L. is a no brainer for this one.
Have fun at Perris Pete.
All you need at D.V.L. is 1 not 5

I really thought about the Kfrog thing but there are still too many questions that are unanswered...first and formost the Boat thing. Kfrog told me AND a couple other people that they were NOT getting the boats that it was UpScales thing. Then Rick said he was waiting for Kfrog to come in and purchase the boats. Is there going to be a Boat given away each day FOR SURE??? All people want is a yes (a boat will FOR SURE be given away) or a NO (a boat will NOT be given away). Lots of conflicting reports are circulating but none have been confirmed.
It really does sound like fun to me, BUT, it also sounds like it could be a zoo during the weighins as well because of all the shore fisherman and boat guys there together.
There are simply WAY too many questions that havent been answered. Like the boat, the launch, how weigh ins will work, etc etc... The tournament starts in 3 days and there are still too many unanswered questions.
Also Im sure everybody will be let in at the same time, if thats the case boat inspections will take forever. Will they have more staff to do inspections? I heard the line of boats last weekend didnt get in the lake till 8-830 because of the inspections so hopefully they at least a a couple extra staff doing it.
This event is a fresh new concept, I hope things work out good for you guys...
Im more into the catch a limit thing and not the single big fish thing. The 1000 an hour IS appealing but not when you factor in all the potential problems and questions. IMHO

Besides all that...I just want to go to Perris.

Good luck to the guys that are fishing it...gett'um good Brian!!

Well Pete if it is Advertised it will happen.
There are 2 boats 1 for sat. and 1 for sun.
There will also be a huge raffle both days. Trout oriented stuff for sat. bass stuff for sun.
Too bad you don't like the idea.
There are 60 guys pre signed by early this afternoon that like the idea. This is for sun. pre signs by the way.
There is also $1k every hour. The scales open at 8 a.m.

I may come out on Sunday

Post by TEAMDEADMONEY »

and do the Bass day.

I wouldnt go as far as saying "if its advertised it will happen." Ask Brian Linehan about that one.... It was advertised by KFROG that they were giving away big screen TVs at one the last Kfrog events and when Him and John went to get them they got small TV's. So I wouldnt put your word on something you may not be able to control if I were you.

I hope everything works out well and doesnt have the hicups that have happened in the past.

KFROG is going to be fun! John has been working hard on this. For $90, don't sweat the boat. If it happens, cool. If not, you still have the chance to win $1000 per hour. Sweet deal. Ray is going to do a great job as well.

I obviously need to clear something up

Post by John Barron »

I don't visit this site much anymore mostly no time.

First of all when KFROG or any radio station advertises a give away prize they MUST give that prize away. There is an organization called the FCC that will not allow them to do anything different.

Secondly UpScale Productions no loger exists it's The Top Stick Tour Inc and at no time whatsoever since I started the KFROG events was I responsible for any of the prizes for any of the KFROG events. Rick G has sold all of the boats to KFROG starting with the second event.

KFROG has never heard of UpScale Productions. They only know John Barron and Top Stick Tour.

One of the boats was picked up yesterday and I'm not sure when the second one will be picked up but both boats have been paid for and will be given away.

I apologize for any confusion and yes there will be a boat given away each day. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me.
