Shell Cracker Information

Post by need_a_kicker »

Hi Everyone,

I am heading to the Delta this week and I just purchased a Shell Cracker, what is the best way to fish this bait?

Thanks,

Kicker

Swim it twitch it rip it. My favorite is to walk it like a spook. Slow and quiet if its calm and violent if its windier. Good luck out there.
Also NEVER be afraid to DEADSTICK it in a likely big fish domain!

I just replaced the hooks on my floating cracker last night. Went with a tad bigger Owner hook. I have also replaced the stock clip that came with it and put a stouter split ring on it.

Did the same with my punkers too....although on those I kept the feather treble hook trailer.

Love these baits.

Now if I could only keep the damn Ospreys off of them on the pond I'd be thrilled :):)
