Anyone do this? Whats the best solution for for charging four batteries with a CSI 4-bank 15A unit?
Lots of generators out there, but need one that is compact, quiet, and can provide enough power for camping and battery charging.
Yamaha? Kawasaki? Honda?
How many Watts should I be looking for?

Re: Charging batteries with a portable generator
Brian, I do not do this (however its a good idea) my input is that the Honda is by far the quietest generator I know of. You may take a lot of heat running a generator all night.

Re: Charging batteries with a portable generator
I have both a 1000 watt Honda and a 2400 watt Yamaha ... both are fine for charging a 4 bank charger and both are very quiet ...
I went with the Yamaha when I was looking for a larger generator for my Truck Camper and because I wasn't sure the 2000 watt honda would start my AC unit, I figured for basically the same price Yamaha gave me 400 more watts ....
Both have been 100 percent reliable, are quiet and start easily

Honda EU2000I, the I stands for "Inverter" in short it means you get a consistent flow of current no spikes or waves. Quiet and reliable!!!!!
Me and a friend made a lake run over a weekend we hit 4 lakes in three days and I was charging while driving down the road.
Generator in the back of the truck with a cord running to the boat, worked awesome. As far chargers, cant beat a PRO MARINER CHARGER, better than stealth or any other. Llook up their website. They also make all the chargers for BPS, great charger has never let me down in 5 years or more.
