G-Loomis Swimbait Rod

Post by branuss04 »

I ordered the SWBR956 awhile back from Tackle Warehouse, when I received it, the bottom guide was slightly bent and the epoxy had a slight crack and chip where the brace meets the blank. I got TW to send me another one, but opened it up and the guide was bent in the same exact way as the first one and there was a smaller chip and crack in the epoxy. Is this normal. I'm not too worried on the bend as it doesn't seem like it's bent in a way that will give me problems, i'm more worried in the crack. Anyone else have this problem. I don't really want to send it back again and be without a SB rod. Any help would be great.

One thing you might try is to call Loomis directly and see if they will expedite you a new rod for free considering the trouble you have had. You never know, they have been pretty good to me over the years but this might not fly. If they go for it, at least you would still have your rod until the new one comes. Worth a phone call to find out.
