Jon,
From the north ramp, hang a right around the point. Skip Campers cove and go to the next cove on your right (Rabbit Creek Arm) in the back of Rabbit Creek Cove is the Causeway. From the launch ramp if you get to Hat Island, you've gone too far.

In modern usage, a causeway is a road or railway elevated by a bank, usually across a broad body of water or wetland.

No, you can't get to that area you have marked. It's actually blocked by the causeway.. I've re-marked it for you.
