another Perris drawdown?
I heard today at the tournament that there is a meeting on friday regarding another drawdown. Anyone have any info. Supposedly its going to be 25 feet. Which will basically end Perris.
Re: another Perris drawdown?
Maybe they are doing more emergency work on the dam??? Thats funny, did they ever finish it?? I wonder what is going on?? Its a shame!!!!! I miss the good old days all the big spotties back in the trees then later all the Pig Largies on swimbaits back in those same trees....Whats going on guys you better darn well open Mathews up if your going to take away Perris??

Re: another Perris drawdown?
There are no plans to lower Lake Perris any lower than it is right now. DWR is still working on how they are going to repair the dam and outlet tower. Once they decide on how to fix the tower that may lead to additional lowering of the lake in two or three years. This would only be for the time to isolate the existing tower and make repairs or dig a new approach channel. Their environment impact report was due out in January but I am not sure when it will come out now. The repair time is approximately 2 year once they start. Best guess is that the lake should be back to full pool in 2012.

Thanks Mike.
After the repairs, are there any plans to re-introduce fish like spotties or smallies?

Some guys think that ....
the fishing is bad at Perris because of the drawdown....I'll be the first the say that ITS NOT. The fishing is great at Perris and if guys havent been there in a while they would be surprised by how good the fishing is. They would also be surprised by the size and health of the fish.. Another thing that would surprise alot of people is the lake itself.....its pretty darn nice. Alot of Tullies have taken up home in the lake in the east end.. There are also tons of bushes in the water boulders and xmas trees..
The lake is thriving right now for those that dont know..

The lake is definetly coming back. If the water stays at the current level for a year or two the shoreline cover will be awesome. And fishing has been good. Two tourneys in a row Pat and I have weighed in 26 pounds.
