Powell warranty question

Post by Terry Smith »

I saw on here the other day Keith B. President of Powell rod stated it was A $35 deductable but when I bought my rod from Fishermans Warehouse they said it was $50 over the counter if they had the same rod on the rack. My question to you is Fishermans chargeing $15 extra to send back the broken rod?????

Sounds like they are making 15 bucks for the convenience. My local charges no extra but made sure I knew they had nothing in it. Powell charges 35. When I first bought the Rods Keith told me there was no charge. Changed his policy.

Hi-

That was probably a misquote. I was shopping there and they did a Powell Rod exchange for $35 while I was in line. I know that G. Loomis charges $50 for the expedite program they offer.

They tried the same with my buddy and his Loomis rod. I only deal with Oroville outdoors for this reason. Straight up and nice guys.
