Optimax Water Pump Install
Been about a year since my impeller has been changed. Wondering if anybody has tackled this job on there own. Did the one on my old Johnson 70 horse not to big of a deal. Another question does it really need to be done every year my boat maybe sits for 6 weeks max without being used but I have noticed the pressure is getting lower like 15 psi on plane is that good enough?

Re: Optimax Water Pump Install
If I remember correctly they suggest every 100 hrs or every 2 years.
I've done mine twice now. It's pretty straight forward. It's hard to believe that that little tiny keeper keeps the impeller in place while your spinning over 5000rpm, but that's all it takes.
Good luck.

I had to come back...I know...
