The inspection for me was easy and without hassel. Just make sure your live well is dry, boat reasonably clean without debree on the trailer and boat, and bilge plug is out.

They do ask on the form which lakes your boat has been on. Expect a very through inspection if you've been on an infected lake.

As I just posted about this on the Delta question:

Clear Lake was a joke last week. The city government has the poor tackle store guys handing out stickers that make you 'legal'. Guys with pontoons, float tubes, even guys with only fins were wanting to get stickers and the line was non-stop most of the time. They were run ragged.

Not to mention that Dave from a shop in Clearlake town said they would help, not hurt, the fishery and was hoping they would 'invade' soon! He was from the mid-west and saw improvement there from them, so he said.

You fill out a form (someone had posted the link here and I printed it out and had it ready when I arrived) and they give you a sticker at any tackle shop. No inspection of any kind, unless you are from an infected lake, and then you will need to jump through some hoops.
