I wouldn't doubt it.... I've heard of several mid 40 lb five fish bags on non tourney days and a 50 something back in March which included two teeners that were weighed in at the Hook

The rumor was they had a 9 as the smallest fish of the limit  2 fish in the teens :D :D I can't hardly believe though if a limit like that had been caught i am sure the word would be out by now

I have had two limits in the 50's one my self and the other with Jake Jensen , I am sure there are many many more that have got big limits and even bigger like in the 60's and a few 70's, I am sure. I thought I read a wile back about a few 70 lb limits on the south board. Now I thought my limits were unreal but to add 20 more lbs to it  I mean DANG!!!!
That just means I still have much more to dream for :D
Any 40 or 50 lb limit is a AWESOME day. and then some.

For that matter, this is something Ive wondered about for years. Can anybody out there confirm the biggest 5 fish limit ever verified? I would imagine its in the 60's. My experience on the Delta on Sunday puts no doubt in my mind that somebody could have weighed a 50 ish bag. One night, my partner and I hooked 5 fish that would have put us over 60, but we lost 3 of them at the boat  . We were still in the 40's (14-08 kicker), but thats the best Ive ever done. Someday Ill get a chance to redeem myself

I thought Rob and Nico had some unreal trips too?
Many guys I know have had GREAT trips a lot of them just don't talk or post :(
I would think with the size of the fish down south there is plenty of Huge limits going on. Up north here too :D

Steve,

ABA event at Casitas on April 30th 1994 Dana and Darin Tochihara weighed in 63.26 for a six fish limit with their smallest fish weighing 6.83 pounds.

This is the bigggest I've heard of out West.

Stony:

Was that Dana Rosen or Dana Tochihara? That 5 fish bag you mentioned is the biggest that I knew of.

I believe it was Dana Rosenberg and Darin Tochihara but keep in mind that we had a six fish limit back in those days.

Well, not sure where you heard it but if it came anywhere from fishermans warehouse or my buddy Alan Fong it's true as i was contributing to the limit and that is no BS. We had 5 for 48 actually and probably what was mis construed was it would have been over 55 had Alan not lost a Giant fish pushing teens.. our best 5 was two 10's, a 12, and two 8's. it was the most incredible day of fishing i have ever had fishing the delta. My best bag prior to this was 36 pounds for 5 but this was just an anwesome day. this happend last week. I could not believe we caught three 8's, 3 double digit fish and one lost DD, a few 6-7's and lost count of the other fish. If you go to fisherman's warehouse you can see the pics Al printed out. Heck go there this friday to the show and sale they are having at fisherman's warehouse Sacramento. I will be helping out 10am-5. I will be in my Powell jersey near the rods helping out the store.
Daddy Blue, sup brutha, great job on 3rd. guess the secret got out...LOL... but my fish didnt show up, needed more water.. oh well, hopefully this weekend..

of course someone else could have busted 50+ just reporting what we had.. I will try to post pics later.. how do you do that? post pics..on here.. help.

Nico and I had a pretty good streak one time. Three trips in a row we did

55.20
57.85
49.70

Our other bag over 50 was 54.60

Cheers
