I JUST PUT MY BOAT IN THE WATER AFTER OVER A YEAR AND A HALF.
WHAT A SMILE MY KID HAD!! NOW I'LL WAIT UNTIL MY #600 AT CASITAS IS CALLED. DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I'LL HAVE TO WAIT.
I was #298,,, and my "appointment" is tomorrow. The Ranger who called said the boat should be completely stripped,,, tackle, rods, everything! Then as before, the boat should be "Clean & Dry",,, and that includes the plumbing! He said they will be blowing air into the livewells and bilge areas,,, and will have a "piece of paper" at the drain area in the rear of the boat. If ANY drops of water come out, your boat is out, and quarantined for 28 days. He suggested that I also blow air into the plumbing, and also put a shop vac on the outlets to get all of the water out. As far as the bilge area is concerned,,, he said that if they can put their finger in the drain hole, and feel any dampness, you are out. Also, I read somewhere, where someone said the tags that will be placed on the locks will cost $2.00 each,,, that is not true, at least right now. They will also lower your motor to its lowest position,,, if any drops of water come out,,, your out ! Wish me luck !

Red tape at its best. We call that the good ol' boy network. I bet Baggerly's buddies were first in with minimal scrutiny. All this talk and excitement is laughable...drain it.
As of today, 13 May, no phone call...I really don't know if I will go throught the inspection...I might just wait to the end of the July...I have 3 other lakes I have to fish before July...
