Help with windshield

Post by jhorn »

So about three weeks ago I was out for the day. I tripped over my dog and fell on the driver’s side windshield. Of course it broke. I called the dealer they told me I would have to bring in the old one. They would then send it off to a company to have a custom mold done. The price was not a big deal, but they said it was a two-week turn around. Does anybody know of a company that makes a replacement that they would have in stock? If I have to send it off does anybody know a company I could send it out to and cut out the middleman? It is for a 1997 Champion 18’. Thanks guys I know somebody will point me in the right direction.

There is a little sticker on my Champion windshield.

Custom Mold and Tint
Monticello AR.
(870) 367-7083

I bet they made yours, and many other bassboat windshields of different manufacturers.

these guys do custom as well as sell stock windshields:

I had a broken one on my skeeter and bought a new one from Tinysfiberglass.com it was just over 100.00 including shipping, only when it arrived it was black (not see through) my originals are dark smoke, I ended up having to buy the passenger side so it would match. The holes lined up pretty good, but not perfect which is to be expected.
good luck

Custom Mold and Tint is the way to go. I broke my partners passenger windshield. (Damn low clear lake docks and 3/4 oz spinnerbaits :D ). He has a Hawk so I knew it was going to be a challenge to find one. I contacted CM&T. Since he didn't make the original I had to send him the driver side windshield and he made two new matching ones. (really tough to match a contoured windshield and I didn't want to be able to see the difference on my buddys boat) They work like a charm. If he made the original you probably won't have to send anything to him. I can't remember exactly but it was about $250 for both delivered to my doorstep.

Great people as well!!

Like A.G., I replaced the windshield on my Skeeter at Custom Mold and Tint in Monticello Arkansas.

Had to send the broken shield to them for a custom fit. When the new windshield arrived, it fit perfectly.

Good job at a reasonable price.
