Southern Nutcase

Post by brushhogxxx »

Roger, Thanks for hosting the first Southern Nutcase event. We have a blast at bowling and you are diffently the great host.

It was our pleasure meeting some new friends and seeing some old friends. The raffle was great and the food was even better.

See you at the next one.

Dave,
I claimed the back shed for myself last night.
I told Roger I just needed 1 a/c unit in the window and I would be good to go.
He then offered up the motorhome.

Roger and Mona,
Thank you for everything. You both always are the best hosts and always have the best spread around. Thank you for giving me a place to lay my head. The bowling was a blast, the raffle was off the hook and seeing old and new friends is always great. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Dave,
It was a tough bite at Perris to say the least, but Roger out fished Chris, Gary and myself. We had a laugh at the lake lice who back his truck with boat on trailer all the way in....sux to be him.
All in all....a great weekend.

Dave,

Mona says we'll have to have our lawyers check out the paperwork, then she's willing to sign. Don't think I can bear to call you son, though! You're a great guy, but just don't quite see it that way - too close of a friend!

We got a slow start (although I was up at 06:00 with less than 3 hours sleep!), and finally hit the lake at about 10:00. We opted to go to Perris, which probably turned out to be a mistake. It may have been better first thing in the morning, but the bite was tough, the water was extremely off-color and warm, and the fish were locked down. We had fun, though, and caught a few fish. It was just a blessing being out on the water with some good friends.

Oh, and we were 'treated' with a sideshow on the other launch ramp... some unfortunate sole somehow ended up with his pleasure boat, trailer and Avalanche sitting in the water, tail of the truck and the boat both sticking out, and as Chris and I swung by to take a look we watched both sink out completely. All that was left floating was some cushions and such. Really an odd site for sure, and I felt really bad for the owner.

We got off the water about 3:30 with 6 bass and a trout between us.

Mona said she really likes your lady-friend and had a great time chatting with Tatiana!

Oh, and for those of you who didn't make it to the bowling center, you missed the offical debut of the new Orso swimbaits!!! Dave brought 5 different baits to donate - three of the big baits (12" "Split-tail") in different patterns, and two of the killer bluegill ("Gill-Zilla") baits. They look great, Rob and Dave, and I'm sure you'll sell a ton of them! Glad you're finally into production!!!

Ahhh... unfortunately the camera guy didn't have a camera in the bote, except for the camera phone. Didn't think they'd be worth taking, so we just took in the sights ourselves.

Sorry guys! Would have been priceless!

Hi Mona and Roger,

I want to thank you for such a great party. The food was amazing; I wish I had some more of those chocolate cookies. :)

Dave I thought I adapted you?.... Common who was holding your hair at the end of the party? lol

Roger tell Mona I enjoyed talking to her as well. I’m looking forward seeing you guys again.

Dave’s lady-friend ;)

 Tatiana... holding his hair??? Too much information, I'm afraid, as I don't recall seeing any hair on him with clothes on, so I'm having to guess where the only hair is on his body!

Hopefully Dave can work out the photo/video shoot soon and you guys can come back out. Thanks for coming!

Roger!!! You have a dirty mind, shame on you  . Mona has to teach you how to go along with smart remarks.

As for Dave not having hair we all know that (his head was as shiny as bowling bowl), you should see his sweater though … LOL

Thanks again for a great party.

P.S Brian I gave the web site info to your wife too… ;)

To all that loves fishing and of course your boats

 LOL

Angler An obsessed individual who owns a house that is falling down due to neglect, a truck whose color can best be described as Rust-Oleum, and a pristine boat that he chamois' down methodically before and after each trip.
Knot (1) An insecure connection between your hook and fishing line. (2) A permanent tangle on your spinning reel which forces you to go out and buy a bigger, better, much more expensive rig.
Landing Net A net used to help drag a large wiggling fish, or an inebriated fishing buddy, on board.
Live Bait The biggest fish you'll handle all day.
Quiet Water Your surroundings after you stop cursing your bad luck and fall asleep at the reel.
Skunked fisherman One who returns to the boat ramp many, many hours after his buddies have gone home so that there are no witnesses to his catch or lack thereor.
Sinker (1) A weight attached to a lure to get it to the bottom. (2) The nickname of your boat.
Thumb A temporary hook holder.
Treble Hook Triples the odds of your catching a fish. Quadruples the odds of your getting the hook caught in your thumb (see above).
Trolling What you do after you've lost a $500 rod and reel set-up overboard
