the Cal. Bass Fed put there State Championship right on top of the ABA Northern TOC @ Clear Lake?? Both are on Oct 24-25
I was going to Fish the TOC @ Clear Lake because I really didn't want to spend the money to go to Mead and fish for 8lb limints
but Now if I would like to do both I don't have to much of a choice

macinkirk,
Don't know if CalFed put theirs on top of ABA, or if ABA put theirs on top of CalFed? Who's to say who got their permit first.
What i can tell you is this - most tournament dates are chosen and solidified a year in advance at the state DFG gathering in Sacramento. These dates were confirmed last July. Even with all the planning ahead, sometimes conflicts are just unavoidable. The federation doesnt announce their TOC up front, so to avoid early withdrawals from contestants, but surely the date and location was determined a while ago.
If you still have questions or comments, you can always call or email Archie about it. you can find his contact info. on the CaBassFed website - http://www.californiabass.org/
good luck,
