Curado 300

Post by L Dub »

After these go off the market, are there any other compact reels that will come in this size? Is there a suitable alternative?

OR, does anyone know where I can still get one? I've been tracking them on EBAY, but it looks like it's gonna be around $185 at least!

Before the sale and rebate on the Curado 301 happened I was going to get the Quantum Cabo PT, I have heard good things about it. You can see it here:

The Cirado is an AWSOME swimbait reel, That what I am useing in my Lake Sonoma video. It handeles bigger fish no problems. They reatil for 250$ so 185$ is a STEAL!! Next time you see one for that price or lower jump ALL over it! You wont be sorry  Match it up with a Dobyns 806HSB or Mike Long and you will have the ULTIMATE swimbait set up! I hope this helps!

I'm pretty sure its not going off the market completely...I think they are just slightly tweaking them. At least thats what I've heard.

I just received one of the Quantum Accurists. Put it on one of my Powell flippin sticks and I believe it is smaller than my curados. It nestles in my hand better than any reel I have used for flipping.

If it's true that they're just tweaking them, then I might be able to wait. Any Shimano Reps around? Where could I get more info?

Rumor on the street is that there will be a up-sized Revo due to come out in the fall.

Not trying to be a sellsman but if you are looking We still have a few left at C & C in Modesto. Both left and right hand.
Got to agree with above post that this is an awsome swimbait reel.

Gentlemen,

Ok, here's the deal. Curado 300 is not going away. I waited to post until this was confirmed to me, and it has been. Again, there is and will be a Curado 300. The 300 is definately an awesome unit,
and remains in the line.

Do you know if it will a watered down Curado 300 offered at a lower price or an improved or comparable 300 offered at a lower price?

Seriously, when has Shimano ever "watered down a reel"?

It is what it is as they say! Curado 300 is in the line~

So does anyone know where I can find a 300 sized reel with external brake settings?
