Honorably retired lure...

Post by optichamp »

[albumimg]150[/albumimg]

Decided to retire it as the hooks were starting to wear into the body, which would turn it into a sinker pretty quick. Very successful lure for me, I expect other folks can add photo of their old favorites as well. :)

I have my late fathers favorite lure hanging on the wall in my den. My wife matted it and framed it and it looks real nice. It's an old yellow/red Sonic. My dad caught a ton of fish on that lure.

Relax, I already bought all the ones in the East Bay.

It's a #4, spring craw color. But if you fish it wrong, you won't catch anything :)

i agree this photo should be banned for life. I found one of these baits on the delta hooked into a tulle stump, changed my life for cranking on the delta. It looks to me as though that bait is just gettign the right amount of ware on it.

If you found it on the NW side of Hobo's Alley, it's mine. Broke it off at high tide, went back at low tide and it was already gone. I think that one was a #3, however.

Uncle Dan, it says "Big Daddy Strike 4" and it's a Lucky Craft lure. There's actually some lures I found that work even better, but this one will have sentimental value :)

Well Champ,

If you got any measurements of some DONKS you caught w/ this lure i say go all out. Get a replica made and hang that nice looking lure from it's mouth!!

Make sure it's sitting in the right spot to when you melt in the lazy boy! Even better right where your log-in station is for Westernbass.com

Nope didnt find it there, but now I know where to look. I thought at first that Big Daddy Strike was a custom bait... took me forever to figure out that it was a L_________t with upgraded hooks!

Champ:

Thanks for the info. I thought it might be a LC lure but wasn't positive. Both my son and I love crank baits on the delta and that color is perfect... I hope you find a suitable replacement!!

Is this possible? How do you "T" your front hook? It would sure save alot of re-painting baits!
