Post by TEAMDEADMONEY »

I was there today and they are bringing alot of water into the lake.
It looks like the lake has come up about 2-3 feet....

Question is....Where are they bringing it from??

Mike Guisti do you know ???

My name is not Mike, but my best guess is Silverwood. Rick G.

It's coming from over the concrete dummy! Then it's going down the hill to the big pond. I see quagga spawning in the rapids! I'm going to see if I can fly fish a cluster this weekend.

Hey Pete,

I will check on where it is coming from and let you know in a couple of days. From what I have been told in the past, they are not expecting any water for the Colorado River until next fall. My best guess is water from Silverwood or Perris but I an not certain. I will get back to you once I have a really answer.

According to the Lake staff, they are just doing some pump testing and are not putting any new water into DVL at this time. Rick G.

Just talked to MWD and they are testing pumps but not bringing much water in. They are getting a little out of Lake Silverwood. The lake hasn't risen any it just hasn't gone down any in the last couple of week. Depending on demand we could see a significant drop in lake level by the first part of August. It could go down another 10 to 15 feet by then.

Gotta get out there this weekend and get some more pictures!!! I'll bet it's dropped quite a bit since the last time I was out, and have to take advantage while the water's low, as it will be filling back up any year now!

Tunaman,

I'll be out there tomorrow. I'll let ya know how it looks. When I was there two weeks ago, there were two lanes of ramp that were just gravel, and out of order. Great fishery, though.

Peace,
James
