I just got into flipping and pitching and I was wondering how long to leave a bait in the hole that I just flipped in. I've been flipping it in and dancing the bait around for about 10 seconds and then pulling it up and trying again. Is this right, or should I leave it in for a longer or shorter time? Thanks for the help.

Re: Help with flipping
What you are doing is JUST fine! But you gotta let the fish tell ya what is best. Try different things on every cast to see what they want. I.E. throw it in and twich it for 10 second, next cast try 20 seconds, next cast dead stick it. But like I said what you are doing is JUST fine!

Re: Help with flipping
I like to let the fish tell me what they want. Somtimes its one hop move on to the next. Other times its just let it sit there. Also rate of fall can effect how you get bit. When I am flipping alot of times I will have two or three rods setup with 1/4oz to 1oz until I find what is working best.

Re: Help with flipping
I'll try playing around with different weights next time. I also haven't tried just dead sticking the bait either. I'll try that also. That's for the info.
