Why I Have No Choice In the November Election

Post by hrvestuff »

During the past several months I have participated in forwarding political emails. Emails addressing the various personalities /issues in the U.S. Presidential race. During this period of time I have received some Emails from long time friends, former co-workers, old class mates of the l950s, family members, and others I don’t even know, taking me to task for my role in the email traffic. Some charged I was blind, stupid, viscous, racist, illiterate and out of touch with reality. Perhaps, but my political beliefs didn’t just happen over-night or because I was had suddenly became enamored with any particular candidate. I was not and still am not. But, having said that, as a person who does participate in the election process, (and have for quite a few years), my support or lack of support for the present candidates was not, is not based upon the fact that I am a registered Republican. And I like many Republicans, Democrats; Independents have been in a quandary for a couple of years, as we didn’t really see anyone we could really get excited about.
A couple of years ago many of us thought that it would likely be a race between Rudy, Romney and maybe California’s Duncan Hunter who would have been my choice. . I didn’t think McCain would get too far. Perhaps it was wishful thinking, as I didn’t care that much for McCain In any case. With Romney, Rudy and the rest, I was lukewarm. But at that time, of the name’s being tossed around, (and this might surprise you), my choice would have been Joe Lieberman. – A reformed Democrat,
Then one name came up repeatedly as a possible Democratic nominee; Barack Obama. Someone told me “ hey watch this guy, he is another Jack Kennedy…â€

I have mostly sat on the sidelines while You, Marty, Fishin'-Dave, and several other Conservatives have bitched and moaned about your terrible choice in this upcoming election.

Well.... unlike Conservatives, the Democrats don't have that problem.

I smell a landslide....

 LMAO

You may find people of like beliefs but you will not sway the liberals on this or any other site. Look at what they are swallowing. You are correct and it is our history to see the evolution of the weak to the strong and the strong to the weak. It is part of democracy. Obama is a consummate hypocrite but he is brilliant. He was publicly calling McCain out to debate anywhere and anytime. He now is refusing to do that and will demand a forum where he can be scripted. He called for a committment to use only public funding but now has refused. All of this was to win the democratic primary and now it does not suit his purpose. He spent 20 years at a church that preached of the evil white man and opression and married a black activist professor. Those things are now reversed. He professes to support the second amendment as an individual right yet says the Bill of Rights should be interpreted to fit todays society? He has voted to take away gun rights at every opportunity. We are in deep trouble as a society and maybe it is time for the reaping. Let Obama become our leader and blunder into changing the constitution, appeasing our enemies and further weakening our country. We will just meet reality sooner than later and we will deal with that ugly sight as we have in the past. Free men will unite.

Jump back Jeff – we are not only bitching and moaning about Juan we are also crying about Berry! Don’t go and puff your chest up because of a few points of a lead.

What your failing to see is after the terrible job of President Bush (26% job approval), your man Berry should be up by 20 or more points. The problem is that the Moderate Democrats are having a hard time swallowing Berry. They want to win but at what cost and are holding back full support for your man Berry. What’s holding Berry up right now are the Liberals (100%), the Black vote (95%) and the Media.

Now on the other hand the Moderate Republicans are all out for Juan but the hard core Conservatives are hoping something will happen! What is really funny is Juan should have been out of the race by now but for Berry.

NO the Conservatives don’t have a problem, America has a problem and that includes you!
