Only if you try to breath. No kiddin, the air is thick around here. Most guys can only take it for half a day. If you can delay it I would or your family might end up disliking you.

Step 1- Get A Wash Cloth

Step 2- Dip the Wash Cloth in the Water

Step 3- Ring out the Wash Cloth

Step 4- Tie wet Wash Cloth over face

or

Get a Surgical Mask and just put that on

visibility is bad, especially at night. GPS & slow, or no-go.

Hasn't hurt the topwater bite.

This site is a decent resource to check on the current condition of the fires reported by the CDF:

I pulled up to a point on Thursday the 26th at about 8 PM in the Rattle snake arm. I see smoke on the other side of this point. I thought BBQ, maybe because I was hungry  with the amount of smoke there was it looked like it could be a BBQ. Then it got a little worse  So I get close and see there is no one around  . There is a house here with a retaining wall that is in flames  . I bank my boat on the rocks and see that the top rail had been burned through and like a "V" shape burn down the retaining wall. The 1' round post was on fire and had already made coals  . I then saw that about a 10' X 20' area of the yard was burned too.
This was something I was not used to seeing to end the day of fishing.
I used a plastic bag and started dumping bags of water on it , about 7 or 8 till it was out. No one was around so I just went on about my way after. I am sure the owners will be shocked to see the fire area in the yard. With all that smoke already in the air it could have been worse.
It was weird to see that this area was burning right by the water.
