In my 8 mile drive to work I've seen a big difference. I'm now able to get to work before my engine gets warm. Then I get home before my air conditioner gets cool air out. SWEET!!

Naw, this is seasonal. School is out. Just wait; it'll all come back, plus some, in late August, early September.

I don't think so.
Traffic at the El Toro "Y" is a little lighter as well.
Has been for a while. The carpool lane seems to be heavier in traffic though.

exactly i live in orange county where the 5, 91, 57, 55 meet. Its been smooth sailing. Its def the gas prices, i think the oil industry was searching for a cap on the market and they are close to finding it. There will be a ground breaking solution within a year and gas will be regulated once everyone makes their dollar. holla holla holla.

I drive for a living going on service calls all over the San Fernando Valley and YES traffic is definitly lighter but and I do mean major but people are driving much slower on average trying to even out traffic light stops and save fuel on the freeway. 45-50 Mph is way too slow !

I wonder if part of it is there are no school buses during the summer? They really jam things up when they form a Conga line, or race each other in traffic.

Try going down the 91 fwy from Anglers Marine to DVL on a Saturday afternoon to go to the night events. Plenty of folks on the weekend. #1 website @ Anglers Marine is sigalert.com. Rick G.
Anglers Marine has been serving Southern California boaters and fishermen since 1981, with the West's largest bass fishing tackle store and the best boat dealership on the west coast.

It's gas prices.
The traffic was getting lighter in the valley before school got out.
I'm even taking metrolink a couple of days aweek.
Until they jack the prices on that.
